PHYSICALLY PREPARING
Drink water! Lots & lots of water! Hydrating yourself is going to give you energy, a clear head and as a bonus, it's going to clear up your skin! It’s also going to refresh your mind, so you are coming to the session 100% ready! Keep in mind, a hydrated face prevents makeup from appearing dry or "cakey". You will also be less bloated and you will feel like a baddie.
Food!!!!! I've said it once, I'll say it again. EAT!!!!!!! Eat foods that are going to make you feel good! Bitch, eat a whole pizza. I AM HERE FOR IT. But don't you dare tell yourself your fat and nasty after. Enjoy the food!!! Do not fucking starve yourself before your session. Don't fucking kill yourself on a diet or going to the gym because "you need to have a boudoir body." News flash baybeee there's no "boudoir body". I want you to eat as you wish. Do you. But don't make any drastic changes before your session.
SUNSCREEN! Protect yourself with sunscreen! Your boudoir shoot WILL be rescheduled. Extensive editing is not provided for sunburns, when this is very preventable. I don't have time to sit and edit out a shitty sunburn, and babes. You don't want to feel like shit during your session. Oh, no spray tans either. Seriously. Absolutely not.
Body Hair : Removing body hair is a personal choice. How you arrive to your shoot is how you will appear in photos. Just know, I will not zap away your unwanted booty hair LMAO. Please remember, do NOT feel pressured to remove any body hair, all is welcome, ALWAYS!
Waxing: This includes ANY part of the body.
New waxers: If you decide to wax anything for the first time, please do that at least 8weeks prior to your session. Waxing is tough, and you could have irritation for a while if you are not used to it.
Regular waxers: Please avoid waxing within 2 days of your shoot. Your skin could still appear red & inflamed, even if you have been waxing forever!
Shaving: You know your skin. If you can shave the morning of with little to no irritation then go ahead, but if you know you have sensitive skin then shave at least the day prior.
Eyebrows: I will not pluck your eyebrows. Please make sure your eyebrows are cleaned and shaped. Any eyebrow waxing or threading- please test this out at least 4 weeks prior to your session if you have never tried this before!
Nails: Girl! Treat yourself to a mani-pedi a few days before your session.!! Come with clean & unchipped nails. You will not have time to paint your nails before your session. So please come prepared. If you come with chipped nails, I will give you nail polish remover. There are no exceptions to this. Chipped nail polish, comes off.
press on nails: if you are going to wear press on nails, they need to be glued to your finger. I will not allow for press on nails to fall off during your shoot and expect me to either edit it, or work around it. Just bring some extra nail glue babe!
Skin: We all love trying new skin care and or skin treatments! Buuuttt please do this NOW. Don't test out anything new 2 weeks prior to your session. If you have any bad reaction you want to give yourself time to recover! I have acne prone & sensitive skin but these are my favorite!
Favorite face wash: PanOxy
Favorite AM moisturizer: La Roche-Posay Double Repair
Favorite PM moisturizer: Cerave Night Cream
Favorite exfoliator: KEYS or Peach & Lilly
Stretching: Start doing some stretching now! The week prior to your session is when you will want to get some good stretching in. These poses are wild lmao!
Spray Tan: Let's just avoid this all together. OKAY!? I promise I gotchu!!!!
Exercise: Definitely want to skip any vigorous workouts the day prior and the day of! I don’t want you to be sore!
Jewelry: Clean your jewelry! If you wear it, it will be in your photos!
